There are of course many uses for soap, it is, in many ways, a miracle product!
If you are a wool felter, it can be difficult to obtain pure soap suitable for felting.

If you are a painter, you need to keep your precious brushes in tip top condition. After rinsing out as much pigment and paint as you can, massage the brush hair on a bar of soap with just a little warm water, work up a good lather, rinse under a running tap and repeat if necessary. This is effective for oil paints, acrylics that have not dried, and water colours.
This soap is as pure and natural as all Victory Soaps but is
designed for your washing machine. Use just 1 to 1.5 tablespoons of
soap granules, either in your washing machine drawer or into the drum,
then wash as usual. You will not need fabric conditioner.
recommend temperatures of 40 degrees plus. A hotter wash is better for
killing germs, and natural whitening and brightening of fabrics. You probably remember that all hospital laundry used to be boiled!For stubborn stains, dampen area and rub with bar soap before putting into your machine.Hand wash, dissolve about 1 tablespoon of soap
granules in a sink of hand hot water, squeeze through garments and soak
for 5-10 minutes, then rinse well, wring or spin before hanging in the
air to dry naturally.
Boiling hankies, table napkins, nappies,
cleaning cloths. Put a spoon full of soap granules into a large pan
half filled with warm water, agitate to dissolve then add items. Bring
to the boil, stirring to prevent boiling over, boil for up to 10
minutes. Use tongs to transfer washing to a sink of warm water, rinse,
spin and hang in the air to dry.
NB: observer health and safety guidelines for boiling water and keep well out of the reach of small children.
Pure soap will clean carpets, ovens, walls, stainless steel surfaces, saucepans (with a scourer) car interiors, in fact just about anything which is dirty!
